Shanie will be hitting the airwaves for the first time on Monday 19th & Tuesday 20th March 2am – 6am

Last night Shanie hit the stage at Westfield Stratford Vue Cinema to host the October edition of ‘Your Cinema’.

Your cinema was created as a new way for future generations to watch films that directly reflect both their lives and also their culture.

By partnering with some of the UK’s largest film organisations  ‘Your Cinema’ has also been designed to grow and develop the careers of the best up and coming filmmakers and actors through national screenings as well as their online networks.

For those who haven’t attended a Your Cinema screening before every quarter they showcase 4 short independent films up on the big screen, then Shanie hosts an intimate interview followed by an industry Q&A with a special guest.

In the past she has interviewed some of the best UK actors some of whom have taken Hollywood by storm including Daniel Kaluuya, Ashley Walters, Noel Clarke to name a few. Yesterday she sat down with Identity Agency Group & The Identity School of Acting founder Femi Oguns MBE to talk all things acting and all about how he ended up becoming an agent and she also invited Damson Idris the latest British actor to take Hollywood by storm up for a quick chat as well.

Shanie was recently invited to appear on BBC’s ‘Victoria Derbyshire Live’  a BAFTA award winning weekday current affairs programme. Shanie was invited on the show to discuss survivors and victims of terror and the lack of government support for victims after a traumatic events such as the recent Manchester Bombings & also the London Bridge terror attack. Shanie is a survivor of the 2005 7/7 bombings and after 10 years of silence she has recently spoken out about both her personal journey as a terrorism survivor as well as her quest to help other survivors get some support with the likes of overcoming PSTD (Post traumatic stress disorder).

Shanie is pleased to announce that she will be back on the radio as of Wednesday 1st February.

Shanie has joined Select Radio – London’s number 1 house music station.

She will be the first presenter to join the station that traditionally only has DJ’s on air.

She will host the wednesday breakfast show between 7.00am – 10.00am


Shanie hosted the latest in the ‘Your Cinema’ Live Q&A series at Vue Cinema in Stratford on Wednesday evening (26/01/17).

 As well as showcasing four short independent films on the big screen, Your Cinema host Shanie had a sit down with one of the UK’s most prolific actors Ashley Walters; Star of movies such as Bullet Boy, Get Rich or Die Trying and smash hit TV show Top Boy. She talked with him about his progression as an actor and his journey in the TV & film industry and he revealed some of his darkest moments, how social media makes him feel bad and the latest news on Top Boy 3!

Your Cinema has been providing  a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work in mainstream cinema’s since 2015.

This live event was created as a new way for future generations to watch films that directly reflect their lives.
