Style Note: This event was a week before heading off to the sunny city of Havana Cuba, so I obviously had bikinis on my mind a little more than I had ball gown shopping on my check list. With that said I had a “wear whatever I can find in my wardrobe” attitude towards my styling for this event purely because I was ‘time poor’ packing for my holiday. Now I wouldn’t recommend this method of prep for such a glam event but as I didn’t have a choice, so I went for a rummage through my rails to see what I had. I dug out a dress I had got from Rare London a while back but had never worn due to the fact that it was made the perfect length for a 5ft 11 super model, now me being a dinky 5.ft 2 I needed some serious tailoring help! A friend of mine is a seamstress so I begged for her help and she thankfully took the hem up and gave me a fitting. This style of dress is perfect for a glam occasion, the heavy draped fabric is great for covering curvy thighs that you may want to hide or for covering your food baby aka belly bloat after a sit down meal. I wouldn’t recommend it for a woman with a larger bust as it may be a little “tooooo sexy” for a formal occassion and also you can’t hide a bra in this thing either. Overall the nude and black colour scheme will suit every skin tone so no worries there, it’s a winning dress style in my opinion and the guys over at the Daily Mail also gave it a big thumbs up!

Style Notes: Rare London is literally my new favourite brand for dresses. Being a woman with curves, boobs and bum the material and shape of a dress are the most important components to making my body look good in clothing. Rare London use good quality materials that are thick enough to hold you in all the right places and that have structure to support the breasts even when braless… they also have some light boning to enhance the waist line. Rare really have got it right with all the pieces I personally have got from them so far. This dress was perfect for a summers evening event with an afterparty, I felt sexy and sassy in it and loved both the design and the colour as it definitely showed off my tan. I was given so many compliments in this dress and all the girls were asking where it was from including a well known fashion designer who could not believe it wasn’t designer!
