What am I wearing
? Dress by Rare London, Shoes by TopShop, Bag by SkinnyDip.

Make Up: Doll 10 cosmetics, Urban Decay, Mac, SmashBox, NYX, New Look, Lash Unlimited.

Style Note: This event was a week before heading off to the sunny city of Havana Cuba, so I obviously had bikinis on my mind a little more than I had ball gown shopping on my check list. With that said I had a “wear whatever I can find in my wardrobe” attitude towards my styling for this event purely because I was ‘time poor’ packing for my holiday. Now I wouldn’t recommend this method of prep for such a glam event but as I didn’t have a choice, so I went for a rummage through my rails to see what I had. I dug out a dress I had got from Rare London a while back but had never worn due to the fact that it was made the perfect length for a 5ft 11 super model, now me being a dinky 5.ft 2 I needed some serious tailoring help! A friend of mine is a seamstress so I begged for her help and she thankfully took the hem up and gave me a fitting. This style of dress is perfect for a glam occasion, the heavy draped fabric is great for covering curvy thighs  that you may want to hide or for covering your food baby aka belly bloat after a sit down meal. I wouldn’t recommend it for a woman with a larger bust as it may be a little “tooooo sexy” for a formal occassion and also you can’t hide a bra in this thing either. Overall the nude and black colour scheme will suit every skin tone so no worries there, it’s a winning dress style in my opinion and the guys over at the Daily Mail also gave it a big thumbs up!

STYLE DIARY: SHANIE ATTENDS THE GO GLAM GALA…

19th January 2017
Event: Go Send’s Go Glam Gala
#HASHTAG: #GoGlamGala
Location: Queen Elizabeth Exhibition Centre, London.

Goodie Bag: There were several goodie bag stands at the event but I was to busy chatting away so I missed out on the treats.

Celeb Watch: Blogging queens Lydia E Millen, I am Chouquette, Maddie Bruce, The Glow Edit, Lewis Duncan Weedon,
Event Highlight: Seeing myself in the movie & celebrating with my fellow cast members.
What am I wearing? Dress by Peggy Hartanto (Take ii PR), Shoes by Zara, Bag & Earrings by New Look Fashion.

Make Up: Doll 10 cosmetics, Urban Decay, Mac, SmashBox & NYX, Art Deco, Bobby Brown, MakeUp Forever, Sleek MakeUp, New Look Beauty, Nars

Hair: Seed Salon, Fulham

Style Note: This is the second of Peggy Hartanto’s stunning creations that I have had the pleasure of wearing to an event. The sapphire blue shade is absolute perfection and would suit any skin tone. The sheer panels keep the dress flirty and sexy despite the elegant mid length skirt. I chose to enhance the colour of the dress further by adding this gorgeous New Look Fashion Blue velvet bag with gold detail and then to enhance the luxurious texture of the satin fabric I opted for equally silky satin mustard court shoes from Zara. A simple yellow gold bangle finished off the look and I received nothing but compliments on my ensemble from the gorgeous blogging crowd.

Thank you to Take ii PR.
